Appearance: The first general impression Rinoa tend to have on people is as that of the pretty, kind and cute girl next door, while probably average looking but still having that special something that will just draw people to her either due to the sweet friendly smile, that's usually present on her face, or the clear sincerity that can be easily heard on her voice when she wants to help people or in the fierce spark of determination in her eyes when she's completely driven to accomplish a particular goal no matter the obstacles.
Rinoa is not the tallest person around with a height of 5' 3.5" (161 cms), with body measurements that are in a perfect proportion for her height, her slender frame gives her a slight air of fragility that coupled with her innocent looking face and her warm grey eyes tends to raise a slight overprotective behavior towards her, the snow white skin is in stark contrast with her layered mid-back length jet black hair with three caramel highlights on each side, it's possible that her looks might have been one of the reasons why she was nicknamed "princess" by the member of the Timber Owls.
Her attire is probably something that she considers fashionable and practical, she usually wears a light blue long sleeved duster sweater with an imprint of white wings on the back –that's one of her trademark symbols, with matching knit arm warmers, under the duster she uses a thin strapped top with a "V" cut, black biker shorts that have a blue denim skirt over them and a pair of silver buckled ankle boots. Accessory wise she only has a black ribbon tied on her left arm and silver necklace with two rings hanging from it.

| | In DepthPersonality: Rinoa is an honest, carefree and friendly person but she can also be quite stubborn, persistent and fierce when the occasion calls for it. The young sorceress is quite a sweet and charismatic person, traits that sometimes draw people to her and that also makes them feel comfortable around her.
She’s a person that’s constantly lead by her emotions, tending to think more with heart than with her head something that gets her in a trouble from times to times, the fact that she allows her life to be led by her emotions makes her quite an unselfish person that’s willing to help anyone that needs it at the best of her abilities without expecting anything in exchange from them. When she’s angry, she’s a force to be reckoned with since she won’t hesitate to speak her mind without any type of reservation to tell you when you have done something she considers wrong, immoral or stupid and might not realizing if she sometimes hurts other people's feelings, she's a woman living pretty much with her heart on her sleeve but that doesn't mean she's stupid, Rinoa is quite an intelligent and clever due to her upbringing with a military father and a high society environment traits that landed her as the strategist of the Timber Owls.
Like any normal person, she has her weaknesses, she feels rather insecure about her own abilities and herself needing to have people around her to keep her strong, she’s also deathly afraid of rejection and isolation from others, in a way she learned to compensate the affection her father was unable to openly express after her mother’s death by having people around her that liked and cared for her, being alone is her biggest fears is without a doubt being alone and separated from contact with people.

History of the Character: The only child of General Fury Caraway and Julia Heartilly, that had been originally in love with Laguna but he left to battle and never returned, it was then that Fury consoled Julia on her loss, fell in love, got married and started a family. Due to his father position in the Galbadian Army her family settled in Deling City, where her mother eventually became a famous singer and pianist, Rinoa pretty much grew up in an upper class lifestyle raised by her loving parents the first years of her life.
When Rinoa was five her mother died in a car accident ending the ideal and perfect life she had with two loving parents, after the death of her mother her relationship with her father started to get more and more distant with each passing year due to the emotional neglect Fury unconsciously he had for her due to his inability to show his true feelings now that Julia was gone, this treatment made Rinoa doubt the love and care her father did had but was unable to express, their relationship got so stranded that it came to the point that Rinoa only referred to him as "that man" and changed her last name to her mother's maiden name.
Growing up with an important Galbadian general enlightened her about the unfair political situation Galbadia had over its people, this new understanding spurred a lot of discussions between father and daughter on their different views of what was wrong and right, despite the fact of not getting along Rinoa never hated her father they just didn’t understood each other and they were too stubborn to bend down to accept the point of view of the other, when the situation in her house got to a critical point that she couldn’t stand anymore she ran away and it was then that she joined the Forrest Owls as a kind of strategist and apparently settling in Timber with her father being quite aware of her activity in the rebel group.
While she was in Timber she met Seifer and finding out about the SeeD alongside the possibility to hire them to help the Forrest Owls to liberate Timber, a year later she attended the SeeD graduation ball meeting Squall and where Seifer introduced her to Headmaster Cid so she could explain him their situation in Timber as well as to arrange a method of payment for the employment of the SeeD, Headmaster Cid agreed to help and dispatched a small group of SeeD consisting of newly graduated Squall, Selphie and Zell.
But what started as an effort to free Timber from the Galbadian oppression turned into something more complicated from what Rinoa expected, after a failed attempt at kidnapping President Deling she was then dragged to the assassination plot of Sorceress Edea, an attempt that also failed landing them in prison as well as the destruction of the Trabia Garden, destruction that Balamb Garden was able to avoid. When they faced Edea the second time in the also mobile Galbadia Garden the defeated sorceress unconsciously transferred the sorceress power to Rinoa leaving her in a comatose state after being possessed by Ultimecia to order Seifer to look for the Lunatic Pandora.
While she was in a "coma", Squall took her to Esthar in an attempt to reach Ellone and find out what had happened to her since no one was aware yet that she was now a sorceress, once in Esthar they were sent to the Lunar Base where Ultimecia posses Rinoa again to force her to release Sorceress Adel and then left her to die in space after having done so, she would have surely died if Squall hadn't gone out to save her and the luck they had when they found the Ragnarok. It's on the Ragnarok that Squall is informed that she's a sorceress, something that she was probably aware of since Ultimecia's possession, and decides to have her powers sealed to prevent any further manipulation from Ultimecia or having her powers corrupted.
Despite her choice, she's saved by Squall and the others, almost immediately after this Laguna reveals the plan to use Ellone's ability to send Ultimecia to the mind of a young Adel and using Rinoa for this purpose in order to create the Time Compression to allow travel to the future and defeat Ultimecia, with the plan set they proceed to sneak in the Lunatic Pandora fighting their way to the top to fight the still ‘asleep’ Adel, somewhere along the fighting Seifer manages to get a hold of Rinoa taking her to Adel’s chamber so "the two sorceress can become one" and being unable to stop it she’s juctioned into Adel, when Adel is defeated the dying sorceress transfers her sorceress power to the willing Rinoa (that had agreed to take them before hand) leaving her as the only sorceress in that time period and she's immediately possessed by Ultimecia, moment where Ellone uses her ability and the Time Compression is finally achieved.
Through this stage they fight and defeat twelve different sorceress from different times and places, with the possibility that at the moment of their death their powers might have also ended transferred to Rinoa since she was the only candidate to take them, before finally reaching Ultimecia's castle where they finally defeat Ultimecia, once Ultimecia is defeated they return to their own time, except that Squall somehow gets lost and using her powers Rinoa breaks through time and dimensions to bring them back, the last that's seen of them is the victory party in the Garden.
